Kellie and Josh celebrated the best day of their lives in early December. They had a beautiful Bendooley Estate Wedding in Berrima in the Southern Highlands. Despite the extraordinary amount of flies and the threat of rain, Kellie looks back on the day and says it was perfect! Nothing was going to upset this bride! She was super relaxed and the day did go to plan!
Kellie and Josh are professional hockey players and Kellie deciding to change her name was a big step. To have your name on the back of your jersey for so many years and then to change it. Josh understood this and put together an amazing surprise ‘care’ package for her to be delivered on the morning of their wedding at the Bendooley Estate cottage. The package included framed pictures of her family, two gorgeous rings – opal and pearl, Mentos and Moet and lots more! A very heartfelt written card was included too. Kellie told me that Josh is so thoughtful and that the package did help her prepare for the name change!
Kellie also provided a little care package to make sure the boys made it to the ceremony at this Bendooley Estate Wedding – Krispy Kreme doughnuts with a personalised message – “Love Kell” and “4 pm”! Needless to say, Kellie’s care package also worked ;).
There were many special members in Kellie and Josh’s bridal including their much-loved cocker spaniel, Lucy and their grandmothers as flower girls. Kellie’s brother did very well as a bridesman. I was told that I was booked because Kellie and Josh saw the Bendooley Estate Wedding I photographed of Leyla and Cam and their gorgeous dog was included as a ring bearer. I am a big animal lover so I love photographing animal lovers!
Some special mentions should be made to the grandmothers for making the cheesecake and cupcakes. Kellie and Josh told me they couldn’t think of anything better for their wedding cake than what they loved when growing up! There were lovely tributes to other relatives who could not be there in person but in spirit. Kellie and Josh included so many lovely personal touches in their wedding day including the gifts of handmade jams for guests.
This was a beautiful Bendooley Estate Wedding and despite the hot and dry spring, the Estate looked so vibrant with its lush green trees and lawn in summer. I think a Bendooley Estate Wedding looks stunning in every season! I urge you to take some time to look through this heartfelt, fun and relaxed wedding of these two hockey players who found love through their sport.
